from stigma, enabling them to exercise their full reproductive rights with dignity and autonomy.
Our work centres around three strategic pillars:
Building an enabling environment for high-quality, context-specific and policy-relevant abortion research in Africa.
Building a critical mass of skilled and empowered researchers in Africa who generate and effectively communicate high-quality, policy-relevant evidence on abortion.
Increasing engagement of researchers and advocates with policy-makers, health practitioners, the media and community.
The Africa Coalition for Research and Communication on Abortion (ACORCA-COARCA) is the first African-led coalition focused exclusively on improving the production, communication, and use of abortion evidence to inform transformative policy and practice change.
